Bedevilled, Jacob's Ladder, Unknown

Bedevilled_poster

Bedevilled is a strange horror drama from South Korea. It's one of the few films where you are incredibly sympathetic to the killer. 3.75/5

Jacob's Ladder is a nice supernatural thriller. It's a bit slow but I really appreciate the pacing. 4/5

Unknown-poster

I wasn't a fan of Unknown. It's a perfect example of an hour and half film extended to almost 2 hours. 2.75/5

Predator 2, After.Life

Predator_2

Not a great movie but Predator 2 is a fun sequel to the original. A very fitting expansion of the the central concept. I enjoyed it but Danny Glover is cannot carry a film. Fortunately Gary Busey, Morton Downey Jr., Robert Davi and an early performance by Adam Baldwin make for a great cast. 3.25/5

After
After.Live isn't sure what it wants to be. There is a lot going on and the director never really commits to one premise in an effort to keep things feeling mysterious and creepy. It all pans out in the end but the director still keeps thing up in the air. I can easily see a sequel from this. 3.5/5

Lunacy, The A-Team

Lunacyposter

Lunacy is a bizarre trip. Blending Edgar Allen Poe with Marquis De Sade is interesting enough but then add the manic style of Jan Svankmajer, you'll guaranteed to see something you've never seen before. Lunacy doesn't disappoint. 3.75/5

Ateam

The A-Team is a fun setup movie but it makes me want to see the sequel. As a TV to movie adaptation goes, I found it enjoyable. Sure you have to GREATLY suspend your disbelief to make the film work as physics and logic are wildly rejected but fun can be found. 3.25/5
