The Rite, Face/Off, The Mechanic

The-rite-poster

I didn't expect much The Rite and on that level it didn't really disappoint. Worth watching once but not much more than that. 3/5

Face/Off is the best of B-movie making. It takes itself too seriously in the middle but it's a hell of a lot of fun. 3.75/5

Lots of fun. I think I might have to pick The Mechanic up on blu-ray when it gets released. 3.75/5

The Prophecy, Pulp Fiction, Vicki

Prophecy

I never understood why people liked The Prophecy. Nothing happens for a long time, then the film is over. 1.5/5

Pulpfiction

I didn't like Pulp Fiction the first time I saw it. Then after watching it a few times, I fell in love with it. Now I find that it's still a really good but flawed film. Tarantino is in love with himself and a few cuts here and there would help with the pacing make it excellent. 4/5

Vicki-poster

Vicki has the same plot structure as Citizen Kane. A model dies and they try to reconstruct her life by interviewing people that knew her. The problem is Vicki's life wasn't that interesting. 2.75/5

Tony

Total pass on this one. Waste of time. 1/5

Touchofmink

Cary Grant is at the end of his acting career and he walks through the roll. Grant and Day have almost no chemistry together. However, the script is so well written and fun, it helps carry the film and makes it quite charming. 3.5/5

Gonzo action film. Just pure comic book logic and mayhem. Very enjoyable. 3.75/5
