The Rite, Face/Off, The Mechanic

The-rite-poster

I didn't expect much The Rite and on that level it didn't really disappoint. Worth watching once but not much more than that. 3/5

Face/Off is the best of B-movie making. It takes itself too seriously in the middle but it's a hell of a lot of fun. 3.75/5

Lots of fun. I think I might have to pick The Mechanic up on blu-ray when it gets released. 3.75/5

Hobo with a Shotgun, Crank, The Game

Hobo-with-a-shotgun-poster

I really enjoyed Hobo with a Shotgun the first time I watched it but it completely fell apart on the second viewing. Still if you are a fan of 80's Troma films and 70's grindhouse, it's totally worth a watch. 3/5

Crank-poster-small-340x500

I'm loving blu-ray mostly because it allows me to revisit films I like. Crank looks great on blu-ray but it's not one I need to upgrade from DVD. 3.75/5

I haven't seen The Game in years. It's better than I remember. I think it holds up better than expected although the ending is a bit unbelievable. 3.75/5

Unstoppable, 13, The Town

Unstoppable_poster

Unstoppable feels like a Tony Scott film from the 90's that didn't get used. An entertaining time waster but not by much. 3.25/5

13-thirteen

13 is a fun remake of French film from 5 years ago. Same director and basically the same script.Really good. 4/5

The-town-poster

The Town was ok. I didn't love it like a lot of people have. Jeremy Renner was freaking great and should win a Supporting Oscar. 3.5/5

MacGruber, The Expendables

Macgruber_poster

One of the better SNL films, MacGruber bombed in the theaters but should see a second life on DVD. It's surprisingly fun and witty. 3.5/5

The_expendables_poster_1

The Expendables is everything I expected. It's loud, explosive and over-the-top. I really enjoyed it. Sure it could have been better but then that can be said for any film. On the level with most B-level 80's action films. 3.5/5
