This is the second time I've seen Dog Soldiers. It holds up pretty good. Good werewolf films are hard to find. 3.5/5

Trespass stars Nicole Kidman and Nicolas Cage and is directed by Joel Schumacher. How didn't this get a bigger release? It's not great but it deserves better than straight to DVD. 3.5/5

Retreat is a nice thriller. It's a it slow but builds great tension. Jamie Bell continues to impress 3.75/5

The Lavender Hill Mob is a classic Ealing Comedy that is quite enjoyable. Most people don't remember that Alec Guiness is a very talented comedic actor and he does great things here. 4/5

The Burning is the best slasher film ever made. It's a perfect example of how to make a slasher film. 4.75/5

While I didn't think that Hellraiser Revelations is a good movie, it is the closest to the original film of all the sequels. So I did like it for that reason. 3.5/5

Wrong Turn 4 has good gore and kills but the script is so poor and the acting so crap, it's not worth watching. 2.5/5

Hiss is the new film from Jennifer Lynch. She continues to unimpress. 2/5

Szamanka aka. Chamauka is a psycho sexual thriller that is lite on the psycho thriller but heavy on the sexual and that's not really a good thing. Plus there is weird cannibalism at the end. 2.75/5

he Howling Reborn, more like The Howling Stillborn. Horrible waste of time and money. 0.5/5

Snowtown is one of the more disturbing films I've seen this year. It's a cold and brutal watch and not easy to recommend but an incredible viewing experience. 4.25/5

I'm not sure who the audience is for Pina. If you are a fan of Pina Baush's work, you would probably want to watch a performance. If you want to learn more about the artist, you won't learn any more than you did before the film started. 3/5

Territoires is a disturbing film about homeland security gone too far. Solid movie that plays out in a rather believable fashion. 3.75/5

I can't believe I watched Flash Gordon twice in the same month. Good lord. Still it's a lot of fun. 3.75/5

Have you ever wanted to see a puppet horror movie with lots of gore and nudity? Then Puppet Monster Massacre is the film for you. The audio sucks but it's fun. 3/5

Event Horizon is so much fun. It holds up as a good 90's horror film. 3.5/5

Got the original Star Wars trilogy on blu-ray. It looks amazing and sounds great. Sadly the 1999 updates look like crap. 4/5

Upon second viewing of The Troll Hunter, I didn't enjoy it nearly as much. It has good moments but will drop from my best of the year list. 3.5/5

I didn't like Flash Gordon for a long time. I watched it on blu-ray and it is truly amazingly flawed but so wonderful. 3.75/5

Gremlins 2 is a wonderful parody of sequels. Scattered and random but lots of fun. 3.5/5
