I was blown away by Blackboard Jungle. It's an odd movie that every film fan should watch. 4.5/5

Baba Yaga is a tedious grindhouse film that starts off with lots of promise but doesn't go anywhere or really do anything. Still an interesting curiosity from the 70's. 3/5

I've seen most of the giallos out there. The stuff I find these days is usually pretty bad. La Bestia Uccide Sangue Freddo falls into the don't bother category unless you are a completist. 1/5

I remember loving House of Flying Daggers. Watching it on blu-ray brings out the amazing colors but the lame special effects really suffer. Still an impressive visual feat. 3.5/5

M is a crazy Fritz Lang movie. Peter Lorre is amazing in the film. The film itself isn't the best but it's great to see how many things we thing of as modern has been used for over 100 years. And it looks great on blu-ray. 3.75/5

Cool Hand Luke is in my top ten movies. It looks amazing on blu-ray. I love this movie. 5/5

Les Choses de la Vie is a slow burn movie that doesn't pay off much. I get while film geeks love it but it's nothing special. 3/5

Cat O' Nine Tails is a fun giallo from Dario Argento. Karl Marlden as a blind man is great. 3.75/5

Picked up Red Shoes on blu-ray and it looks amazing. A must see for people that love the art of cinema. 4.5/5

I was hoping for a great transfer of Dr. Strangelove on Blu-ray. It as OK but needs a better transfer. Still the movie is great. 4.5/5

I'm a sucker for giallos. Most of them suck but everyone once in a while you find a good one. The Red Queen Kills 7 Times isn't perfect but if you're a fan of giallos, you'll really enjoy it. 3.75/5

Pretty Maids All in a Row is the only thing Gene Roddenbury did that wasn't Star Trek related. It's a very odd movie. Part high school hijinks/part sexual thriller/all male wish fulfillment. The film is a weird mishmash of themes and ideas that all seem to work somehow. 3.75/5

Cold Prey 2 picks up where the excellent first one leaves. It's works like Halloween 2 did. We find out heroine in a hospital recovering when the killing begins. 4/5

The Wild Hunt jumped on my top ten of the year at the last minute. It's a great, dark and disturbing movie about LARP'ers. 4.25/5

I love 70's Italian cinema and giallos. While Blood Splattered Bride isn't a giallo, it certainly has all the conventions of one. Plus lesbian vampires. 3.25/5

I think Street Trash is a movie that if you didn't see it at a certain age you probably won't enjoy it. I can see why it's a cult hit but I found it very tedious. 2.5/5

Mario Bava does a wonderful job with Blood and Black Lace. Classic giallo with amazing use of color and lighting. A must for Italian slasher fans. 4/5
