Gatta in Calore is a decent enough thriller but nothing special. Fans of Italian cinema will want to check it out. 2.75/5

La Setti Madonna sounds like it would be a fun revenge film. Three men attack a group of nuns and one goes on a killing spree to get revenge. Sadly, nothing that exciting really happens. 2/5

I really enjoy Hercules. James Woods does a fantastic job as the villain. One of my favorite Disney villains. 3.5/5

Women in Fury is a surprisingly entertaining women in prison film. If you like the sub-genre, it's worth a look 3.5/5

Special Train for Hitler works hard to make Nazi's sympathetic. It's a very odd film that isn't very interesting. 2/5

The Danish did several sexy comedies in the 60's and 70's. They were quite explicit. I Tvillingernes Tegn makes me want to see more of them. They are sexy, racy fun. 3.5/5

Got the original Star Wars trilogy on blu-ray. It looks amazing and sounds great. Sadly the 1999 updates look like crap. 4/5

The Good The Bad The Weird is a great throwback to Sergio Leone westerns. Love it. 4.5/5

Upon second viewing of The Troll Hunter, I didn't enjoy it nearly as much. It has good moments but will drop from my best of the year list. 3.5/5

A Woman, a Gun and a Noodle Shop starts off with a goofy tone and then awkwardly shifts gears and never really recovers. 3.25/5

Bellflower just shot to the top of my favorite films of the year list. It's almost impossible to describe but it's damn impressive. 4.5/5

Der Sandmann is one of the most unusual rom-com's I've seen and certainly the best one I've seen in years. 4/5

I think being Norwegian or Scandinavia would make this a lot of fun. Not being either, I didn't find Norwegian Ninja that enjoyable. 2/5

I loved Attack the Block. It is the movie that Super 8 really wants to be. I can't wait to own it on blu-ray. 4/5

Kevin Smith once again makes my worst of the year list. Red State is total crap. 1/5

The Last Circus took the most convoluted way possible to tell the simplest story. By the time it's over, all the good will is gone and you just want it over. 2/5

Bridge on the River Kwai is one of my favorite films. It's in my top ten. Just a perfect movie and it looks even better on blu-ray. 5/5

Les Diabolique is a great thriller. I highly recommend it. Again the blu-ray is just impressive. 4.25/5

I enjoyed The Man Who Would be King. It's not great but Michael Caine and Sean Connery do great jobs. It's like a British version of Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. 3.5/5

La Casa Muda (The Silent House) is one of the best haunted house films I've seen a long time. It's a solid film, very high recommend. 4.25/5

Down Terrace is an OK British crime drama. Worth watching but wouldn't go out of your way to watch it. 3/5

Imagine A Nightmare on Elm Street but with killer clowns. Killjoy 3 is the latest from Charles Band. It's not great but it's fun. 3/5

Nic Cage has made some really crappy films but The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans isn't one of them. Solid effort and proves that he hasn't lost it. 4/5

Strigoi is a greek vampire film. A really, really boring greek vampire film. 2.25/5

I usually try to avoid Canadian films that aren't directed by A-List directors. Hair of the Beast proves that I should stick to that rule. 2/5
