Captain America: The First Avenger, Super 8, The Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I'm not sure which I enjoyed more, Capt. America or Thor. Capt. America is really good. I didn't expect that with director Joe Johnston. 4/5

Super8poster

The first half of Super 8 is really good. When the focus leaves the children, the film just falls apart. 3.5/5

I hate the Planet of the Apes film and didn't have any hopes for The Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It might be the second best film of the summer. 4/5

Not Another Teen Movie, Hausu (House)

Notanotherteenmovie

Don't judge me. I enjoy this spoof on teen comedies. Not Another Teen Movie is not horrible like Epic Movie, Date Movie or Meet the Spartans. If you haven't seen, it's quite fun. 3/5

Hausu

I'm not sure what is going on in this movie. Hausu is a bizarre, over-the-top blend of humor and horror smother in a very cheese sauce of awesomeness. One of the few cult movies that can be enjoyed solo as well as with a group. 3.75/5

The Losers, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Losers

I don't we've ever had three comic book movies released in a months time. The Losers isn't nearly as good as Kick-Ass or Iron Man 2 but it still has a quirky charm that I enjoyed. 3/5

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon is a horror movie geeks film. The creators have lovingly crafted a film about what it takes to be a horror movie slasher. I really like this movie. 4.25/5
