Red, Moulin Rouge, Bitter Feast

Red-poster

I liked Red much more the second time. It still runs long in the final act and their ability to drive halfway across America in a day is amazing, but overall, one of the better comic book adaptations of 2010. 3.5/5

Moulin-rouge-poster-2

I didn't realize how much I like Moulin Rouge until I saw it again. I haven't seen in almost 10 years. 4.25/5

Bitter_feast_poster

Bitter Feast is a great idea poorly done. I would like to see a qualified director with a decent script tackle this idea. 1.5/5

Over the Hedge, True Grit, The Karate Kid

Over-the-hedge

Over the Hedge kicked off my 2011 movie watching efforts. It's a really cute movie but thanks to my daughter, I've seen it way too many times. 3.5/5

True_grit_poster1

I enjoyed True Grit but I didn't love it. It's a solid movie and Hailee Steinfeld gives one of the best performances of the year. 3.75/5

The-karate-kid-poster3001

Boy, I really didn't enjoy The Karate Kid remake. It turns out that watching 12 year-olds beat the hell out of each other isn't as much fun as I thought it would be. 2.75/5

Room in Rome, The American, Hudson Hawk

Room-in-rome-poster-free-onlin

I'm mixed on Room in Rome. Parts are beautiful and the relationship between the two women is interesting but they are nude through the whole thing so it feel a bit tawdry. 3.5/5

Theamerican_poster

Watched The American again enjoyed it just as much. The second time around I was able to enjoy some of the more nuanced moments. 4.25/5

Hudsonhawk

Watched Hudson Hawk with the director's cut. It was quite interesting. I really enjoy it even though it is quite flawed. 4/5

The Prophecy, Pulp Fiction, Vicki

Prophecy

I never understood why people liked The Prophecy. Nothing happens for a long time, then the film is over. 1.5/5

Pulpfiction

I didn't like Pulp Fiction the first time I saw it. Then after watching it a few times, I fell in love with it. Now I find that it's still a really good but flawed film. Tarantino is in love with himself and a few cuts here and there would help with the pacing make it excellent. 4/5

Vicki-poster

Vicki has the same plot structure as Citizen Kane. A model dies and they try to reconstruct her life by interviewing people that knew her. The problem is Vicki's life wasn't that interesting. 2.75/5

Iron Man, Over the Hedge, Hellboy

New-iron-man-movie-poster

I love Iron Man. I can't wait for the sequel. It's in my top 3 favorite comic book movies. 4.5/5

Overthehedgeposter

I find Over the Hedge to be a very underrated film. I've seen it many many times thanks to my daughter and I still enjoy it. 4/5

Hellboyposter

Hellboy could easily be my favorite comic book movie. It works for me on pretty much every level. 4.75/5
