Total Recall, End of Days, Friday the 13th

Total_recall_poster

Total Recall doesn't hold up very well. It's got some good ideas but falls apart in the third act. 3.25/5

The last few films Schwartznegger did were horrible. After watching End of Days, I'm really glad he went into politics. 2/5

Friday-the-13th-poster-web

Overall, I don't hate the remake of the first three Friday the 13th Films. It's the fact that Jason is a disgruntled pot farmer that really keeps me from fully enjoying the movie. 3.25/5

Arthur, The 6th Day, Mission Impossible 2

Arthur_300

A horrible misstep on almost every level. Arthur is yet another example of taking a film and not understanding what makes it work in the first place. 2/5

The-6th-day-2000

Possibly the worst Arnie film, The 6th Day is just a horrible waste of celluloid. 1.5/5

Missionimpossibleii

Hands down the worst of the MI films. Mission Impossible II is Hollywood gone crazy. John Woo films don't hold up very well. 1.5/5

Total Recall, Fragile, Lilo and Stitch

Total_recall_poster_66672019

Total Recall doesn't hold up as well as I thought it would. The look and the fee of the movie feels dated for some reason. Still, it's a good time and lots of fun. 3.5/5

Ffffragileb

Fragile is a by the numbers haunted hospital. The ending has a bit of a kick if you can the paint by numbers story. 2/5

Lilo-and-stitch-poster-0

I love Lilo and Stitch. It's great. I know it was released during the downfall of Disney animation but give it a shot if you haven't seen it. 3.75/5

Splice, Last Action Hero, My Son, My Son What Have Ye Done?

Poster_splice-fore

Splice is one of the better movies of the summer. It think it will have a great life on DVD. The director of Cube keeps creating interesting films. 3.75/5

Last_action_hero

I remember hating Last Action Hero when I saw it in theaters. Time has helped this film. Not as bad as I remember but still greatly flawed, Last Action Hero is well worth a revisit if you haven't seen it in a while. Shane Black's script makes it lots of fun. 3.5/5

My_son_360x466

David Lynch produces a Werner Herzog film. Yeah, it's going to be pretentious and weird. My Son, My Son What Have Ye Done is an interesting experiment in movie making. Not for everyone but those that are Herzog fans will find lots to like. 4/5

The Sweetest Thing, Sick Girl, Predator

Thesweetestthing

The Sweetest Thing isn't a great movie but it doesn't aspire to be anything more than it is. It succeeds in that. It's a fun galmance (the female version of a bromance movie) with a rom-com thrown in as a secondary plot device. 3.75/5

Sick_girl

Sick Girl is the kind of indy films I hate. It hopes the gore is enough to cover the fact that it has no story. 0.5/5

Predator

Predator is classic 80's greatness. I wish Hollywood would produce more genre bending films. The mix of soldier action with sci-fi and horror is brilliant. I love this film. 4/5
