Enchanted, The Rainbow Thief, Pinocchio

Enchantedposter6

I've been trying to watch more movies with my daughter. She picked Enchanted. So far we've watched Star Wars, this and Pinocchio. She's getting good taste. 3.5/5

The-rainbow-thief-poster

Even if you didn't know that The Rainbow Thief is a Alejandro Jodorowsky film, you could probably figure it out with odd nudity, midgets and giants. It's not a very good movie but if you are a fan of Jodorowsky, it's worth a watch. 2.5/5

Pinocchio_poster

Pinocchio looks amazing on blu-ray. The colors are incredibly sharp and bright and the details are amazing. 4.5/5

Rango, Sanctum, The Clinic

Rango

Rango is an interesting film. I wouldn't highly recommend it to everyone because everyone's enjoyment level will be very personalized. It's not a kids movie. I can see it having a cult following in a few years. 3.5/5

Sanctum_poster

I really hated Sanctum. It will probably be on my bottom of the year list. 1.5/5

Clinic_poster

My expectations were low for The Clinic but the good news is, it wasn't bad. 3.25/5

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Gantz, Santa Sangre

Cloudy_with_a_chance_of_meatba

I love this movie and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs looks great on blu-ray in 3D! 4.5/5

326505-gantz_poster_live_actio

I'm not a big fan of manga turned live action. It usually doesn't work for me. Gantz is a fun adaptation. I really enjoyed it. 3.75/5

Santa-sangre-mini-poster-490x7

In my quest to watch all Alejandro Jodorowsky films, I tracked down a copy of Santa Sangre. I liked it but didn't love it. I have a feeling that having seen El Topo and Holy Mountain, the rest is all downhill. 3.5/5

The King's Speech, Tangled

The_king_speech

The King's Speech is total Oscar bait. It's got a couple of great performances but little else. It's not shocking that it has 12 Oscar noms. If you had to make a movie designed to get Oscar awards, this would be it. 4/5

Tangled

I really enjoyed Tangled. I really liked the character designs and the simple storytelling. 4/5
