Gatta in Calore, Space Jam, La Setti Madonna, Hercules, Touch of Evil

Gatta_in_calore_eva_czemerys_n

Gatta in Calore is a decent enough thriller but nothing special. Fans of Italian cinema will want to check it out. 2.75/5

Space_jam

I thought it might be fun to watch Space Jam again. I was wrong. Just a horrible film. 1/5

Lasettimadonna_poster

La Setti Madonna sounds like it would be a fun revenge film. Three men attack a group of nuns and one goes on a killing spree to get revenge. Sadly, nothing that exciting really happens. 2/5

Hercules

I really enjoy Hercules. James Woods does a fantastic job as the villain. One of my favorite Disney villains. 3.5/5

Touchofevil

Touch of Evil is a beautifully photographed but flawed film. Charleston Heston as a Mexican doesn't work on any level. The blu-ray looks amazing. 3.5/5

Lady and the Tramp, Sound of Music, Ladyhawke

Lady_and_the_tramp_poster

Not my favorite Disney film but Lady and the Tramp is a solid film. 3.75/5

1965-sound-of-music-photo1

I love the Sound of Music. I got it on blu-ray and it's one of my top 10 favorite films. 5/5

1985-ladyhawke-poster2_6022

Ladyhawke has three problems. First the score might be the worst for any film ever. Secondly, it's two hours long. Lastly, Mathew Broderick tries to do an accent. The awesomeness of Rutger Hauer can only go so far. 2.5/5

All Star Superman, Star Trek, The Matrix

All-star-superman-movie-poster

All Star Superman is a hard 12 issues to turn into a cohesive story. Almost all the issues are one shots with a thin thread going through them. This feels a bit choppy but it really works. 4/5

Star-trek-poster-4

I love Star Trek. It's the first blu-ray I purchased and watched on my new player. Looks amazing. 4.25/5

The-matrix-poster

The Matrix holds up really well. I can't say that about the rest. They are the suck. 4.5/5

The King's Speech, Tangled

The_king_speech

The King's Speech is total Oscar bait. It's got a couple of great performances but little else. It's not shocking that it has 12 Oscar noms. If you had to make a movie designed to get Oscar awards, this would be it. 4/5

Tangled

I really enjoyed Tangled. I really liked the character designs and the simple storytelling. 4/5

Let Me In, How to Train Your Dragon, Megashark vs Crocosaurus, Charley Varrick

Let-me-in-poster

I think I might actually like Let Me In more than Let the Right One In. It's a great movie. 4.25/5

How-to-train-your-dragon-conce

How to Train Your Dragon is a lot of fun. I think I enjoy it more every time I see it. 4.5/5

Megashark-vs-crocosaurus-poste

I love these Asylum films...at least in theory. The movies are all horrible but the idea of combining the monsters is great. Shame the special effects, script and acting are so bad. 2.5/5

Charley-varrick-1973-poster

Charley Varrick is a lot of fun and it suffers from 70's film nonsense syndrome big time. There are lots of random moments that make the movie interesting but don't add to the overall story. 3.5/5
